This is a series of posts on what things are like in Sudan, especially Khartoum. Its purpose is primarily to provide information for people coming to Sudan for the first time and secondarily to inform about Sudanese customs (according to my fallible observations).
When this series is finished, I hope it will include posts on how to use public transport, how to order at a cafeteria, eating traditions, clothing, useful Arabic words and expressions, telecommunications, tea (very important!), and more.
Posts to date:
100 Useful Arabic Words
Clothing--Women
Cellphones and Internet
I hope this is helpful! Feel free to comment with corrections, comments, or questions (that I can relay to my Sudanese friends).
